Thanks for your comment, you always ask thought provoking questions. I will have to think about it more, but here are some initial impressions. First, their distrust and fear of all things federal are very out of step with today's view of government. Also, as far as I can tell, the founders would be labeled as isolationists today. It seems that it was their idea to stay out of world affairs, and mind their own business. Not so today, war is big busines for the U.S.

Also, even though we are inheritors of the labors of revolutionaries, I am guessing that most of us do not have the stomach for real revolution. Talk of taking up arms for a bloody revolution would certainly get you in trouble these days, no matter how oppresive the government.
